Ale, mmmmmmm.

Kinja'd!!!

Four bottles for £5 (USD$7.61). Though it cost £4.99 (USD$7.60) for one bottle with a FREE ‘Trooper’ glass. Free really. The individual price of a bottle is £1.85 (USD$2.82), so £3.14 more for a FREE glass. Hmmm right.

Yea, but how’s the beer?

It’s really good. It’s quite citrusy and zesty. I don’t think I could drink much of it but I’m only on my fourth so we’ll see. :)

I bought a bottle a few weeks ago as a joke because I expected it to taste like sucking on Bruce Dickinson’s leather pants after a concert. But I was pleasingly surprised and would buy one again!

I also bought an Innis & Gunn that evening. That was really enjoyable and it’s easily up there with my favourite beers.

I had a bottle of Trooper a couple of months back and must be honest it didn’t taste as good this time as it did back then but still rather good.

Now I’m going to have to get some Innis & Gunn when I get back to work tonight.

Back to work? What do you do? Professional drinking? :-D

I want your job!

If you like the rather mild and somewhat sweet taste (it reminded me of a very, very mild whiskey actually) you won’t be disappointed with the I&G. Although I do like it a lot, I wouldn’t want to drink more than two in one sitting though because of this sweetness.

I’m curious about your opinion.

I work nights in a supermarket (it pays the bills and is a safe job).

I enjoy IPAs, medium to dark ales, to stouts and porters.

Stouts and porters are my regular tipple.

But I like to try new drinks which is good because we have some great deals on beers. ;)

Don’t vindicate your job. I’m in the same boat because I also work in a not very glamorous job at night for little money. Security...

Okay, so the I&G will at least be a contrast to your usual poison.

Sounds like a cool supermarket actually. ;-)

It’s Walmarts sister company in the U.K. (our head office rubbish says ‘part of the Walmart family). :( It’s not too bad a job it’s the guys at the top, run a store, hell they couldn’t run a bath. Lol.

It’s quite well paid to be fair and frees up my day to clean friends cars when needed, which I like to do to relax.

I’ll have to see what other Innis & Gunn stuff we have.
